Don't leave mutated crops unharvested overnight on public servers

Best defensive plants

Defensive crops ward off thieves. Strong picks include Dragon's Breath, Ghost Pepper, Venus Fly Trap, Poison Apple, Poison Ivy, and Cactus. Many also sell well, so they pull double duty.

Best defensive pets

Guard pets patrol and deter intruders. The Bee patrols your garden, and the Black Dragon can set garden intruders on fire.

Props, fences & layouts

Props aren't just cosmetic — fences, walls, and traps block access. Place high-value crops away from entrances and wall them off with defensive plants and props.

Guild watch rotation

With a guild, coordinate who stays back to defend and who goes raiding during the night. Allies make defense far easier.
